5 Easy Steps to MeasureYour Kitchen for Cabinets
This guide will give you step- by-step instructions on how to measure and create a floor plan (bird view) of your space. This information will provide our designers with everything they need. See measuring example below.

Step 1
Measure Your Space
Starting in the left corner, measure each wall in the space that will contain cabinets and record those measurements (in inches) on the “ICON Cabinet Measurement Grid” located on the last page of this measuring guide.

Step 2
Room Openings, Doors, Windows
Place room openings, doors, and windows on thefloor measurement grid (shown in red).
Measure room openings, doors, and windows (including casing) as shown record on grid.

STEP 3
Appliances
Place all appliances on your floor plan in your desired location. If you are getting new appliances, please record estimated sizes as shown on left side of measurement paper.
Place center line measurement to each appliance as shown in red below.

Step 4
Ceiling Height
Please measure your ceiling height in three different spots and record the smallest number.
If your home has soffits over the cabinets, please measure the soffit starting at the ceiling, measuring down to the top of the upper cabinet. If the soffits are being removed, this step is not necessary.

Step 5
Photos
Take photos from a variety of angles in front of your cabinets and send those photos us with measurements
The photos will help our designers understand your space and help with any questions that arise regarding measurements.
